White Sauce

Ingredients

  • • None 2 cups milk 3 tablespoonfuls flour
  • • None 2 tablespoonfuls butter h teaspoonful salt
  • • None white pepper to taste
  • • None Scald the milk; melt butter in a saucepan, and stir in the flour;

Instructions

Step 1. add the hot milk, one-third at a time, each time stirring

Step 2. thoroughly until smooth; before adding more milk let it boil

Step 3. 1 minute, stirring constantly; add salt and pepper, and serve

Step 4. hot. If not used at once, cover to keep scum from forming.
