Baking Powder Biscuit

Ingredients

  • • None 1 quart of flour 2 heaping teaspoonfuls baking pow-
  • • None 2 tablespoonfuls of butter or lard der
  • • None 1 pint milk I teaspoonful salt

Instructions

Step 1. Sift baking powder and salt in flour, add shortening and mix

Step 2. thoroughly; then the cold milk. Mix quickly and lightly; handle

Step 3. as little as posp'ble. The dough must be just stiff enough to roll

Step 4. out. Roll in sheets | inch thick; cut in circular cakes; put in greased pans dusted with flour, just far enough apart not to

Step 5. touch, and bake 15 or 20 minutes in quick oven.
